Look out everybody! I'm updating my site! Wow!

So, Peeg and Stacy set a wedding date. Wowsers. I'm kinda bummed they're getting hitched on the other side of the world and the whole Chandler clan won't be there but they've got good reasons to do it that way and it'll definately be cool.

Nick visited up here for a few days before heading up to D.C. to visit the afore mentioned Peeg and Stacy. We had a good time, even if it was too brief. Yesterday we pretty much just played video games (he kicked my bootay in Medal of Honor) and played football in the rain at the Civic Center. Leibten played too. She is pretty good at pass coverage. Making you trip is her specialty.

So, I caught the toaster oven on fire the other day. Yup. I was making some tuna melts that wound up being "flame broiled" when I didn't really plan it that way. Good thing Meghan was right next to the baking soda and tossed it to me. I put it out pretty quick but it was kind of scary for a minute. I kept thinking of that Dateline NBC I saw a few years back where the toaster over catches fire and catches all the cabinets on fire in like no time flat. Being a news photographer and having covered my fair share of house fires also fuels the ol' imagination in such situations.

One last tidbit of news, it was Dave's 29th birthday the other day. Happy Birthday, Dave! Dave told me he has one more year of smoking and then he's gonna quit, which really surprised me. He said its something he's always told himself, but it was something I never new. He's also going to play drums in a great redneck bar with a band he's been playing with. So, if you'll be in Winston-Salem in late May, perhaps you can catch Dave's debut!

One more very delayed happy birthday to my brother Joe. Happy Birthday, Joe! I sent your present home with Nick so be sure to get it from him.

Spring is here. I'm growing all my garden plants from seed this year, or I'm trying to anyway. I already have some heirloom tomato friends growing in the "greenhouse" which is really just a window in the guestroom. It sounds much fancier to say greenhouse. Greenhouse.
