Ok, ok. I guess if Golum is getting upset about my not updating my webiste, I should update. Yes, it has been a while, but I have been busy - despite what my wife said :(

Right now I am taking a break from trying to complete my contest entry for the SCNPA. Its due next Friday. I don’t like doing contests. It just seems like so much work for so little reward. They are also incredibly subjective. But hey, that’s just my opinion. Some people (who shall remain nameless) really get off on them, so, in the name of team work I shall trudge on through piles of CD’s and captions...of course maybe I just suck and never win contests and therefore am bitter. Hmmm. Maybe I could not write a run-on sentence but then again maybe I can’t so I will keep writing ok.

The test that Geoff referred to on his site was actually two tests. Starting at 7:30 a.m. At Clemson. Early. Far too early to think, but I hope I did ok. We’ll know in about a month. I had my first class the other day. I’m taking to grad-level literature classes at Clemson on Tuesdays. I’m the only guy in one. It should be fun though. It’s a children’s lit class. For homework this week I have to read Curious George, Goodnight Moon and Where the Wild Things are, to name a few. I’ve also written a paper already. Sure, I say its fun now. In a few weeks I may wonder why I decided to take classes and while working full time.

In a brief synopsis of the holidays - they were fun.

Actually I took a nice trip with my Dad down to Florida to cover the Capital One Bowl in Orlando. It was really nice to get to spend time with him. We don’t get to do that often. We listened to a great book on CD on the way down and back. We also got a chance to go to Epcot on New Years Eve. Let me just tell you - unless you want to feel like “It’s a Small World” like waaaay to small - don’t go to Disney World around the holidays. The parks were so busy while we were there that they were turning people away. We did get in to Epcot, but it was crowded. Very crowded. You couldn’t lift your arms with out smacking someone in the chin. You know what a crowd is like leaving a concert or a game? It was like that everywhere you went. The wait for the new Space ride was more than 3 hours. For the Test Track - 2 1/2. We had a nice time anyway. We spent most of our time in the World Showcase. We had an AMAZING dinner at the English pub there. Outdoors, by the lake, with Guinness and cheese and crackers. MMMM. We also saw a cool fireworks show. We did not, however, stay until midnight. It started getting more and more crowded as the night progressed and apparently some brainiac somewhere thought it would be a good idea to pass out noise makers to all the kids at Epcot. The noise was deafening. Everywhere you turned was a child blowing into a cheap horn. It sounded like thousands of dying geese crying their last after munching on alka seltzer.

Well, I guess I should get back to the stinkin contest. See. You.
